AirHand privacy policy
What AirHand is
AirHand is a local Wi‑Fi remote for compatible Mitsubishi Heavy Industries WF‑RAC / Smart M‑Air style indoor units. It runs as a native app on your phone. It does not require a Mitsubishi account and does not use the manufacturer’s cloud for day‑to‑day control.
Data that stays on your device
Preferences such as light/dark mode, temperature display unit, room names, room icons, and the list of registered unit addresses are stored locally in the app (Android DataStore / iOS preferences). We do not operate an AirHand cloud account system or user database.
Local network
On the same Wi‑Fi / LAN, AirHand talks to your units over HTTP on port 51443 (the module’s local “beaver” API), including cleartext where the firmware requires it. That traffic stays on your network. We do not proxy those commands through our servers.
What we do not do
No AirHand accounts, no ads, no selling personal information, no tracking you across other apps or sites. The app does not use advertising IDs.
Crash and error reporting
Play Store and App Store builds may send crash and error reports via Sentry. Reports are used only to diagnose and fix reliability issues. They do not include advertising identifiers, and we do not sell that data. Sentry may receive technical details such as device model, OS version, app version, and stack traces; we scrub sensitive fields where practical. See Sentry’s privacy policy for how they process that data on our behalf.
Children
AirHand is a home climate remote, not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
